Surprise! The Weird A-Coloring to Al: Cynical Movie Cash-In Extended Edition is Out and EXTREMELY Available for Purchase!

When my childhood hero “Weird Al” Yankovic asked me to write his coffee table book I had no idea just what a profound effect on my career that plum assignment would have.

Once I started writing books about “Weird Al” Yankovic I just couldn’t stop! The first one I wrote was at Al’s behest. What an honor! But I couldn’t stop there. After 2012’s Weird Al: The Book (Nathan Rabin with Al Yankovic) I wrote 2020’s The Weird Accordion to Al, an exhaustive guide to Al’s complete discography that Al fact-checked, copy-edited AND wrote the introduction for. What a mensch!

It was followed later that year by The Weird Accordion to Al: Ridiculously Ill-Advised Vanity Edition, a 500 page magnum opus about Al’s complete career in film and television as well as music.

Then I made a miraculous discovery. One lazy afternoon I colored in some of Felipe Sobreiro’s amazing artwork and realized that I had accidentally created the basis for an amazing “Weird Al” Yankovic coloring book in The Weird Accordion to Al: Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour edition’s 80 or so illustrations from Felipe, who impressed Al so much with his work on my books that he hand-picked him to be one of the contributors to his upcoming graphic novel The Illustrated Al alongside huge names in the field like Peter Bagge, Drew Friedman, Michael Kupperman and Bill Plympton.

I had Felipe create 20 new illustrations for the coloring book and alter previous entries to be more coloring-friendly and The Weird A-Coloring to Al was born. It was a huge success, selling thousands of copies over the course of the Christmas season without appearing in a single holiday gift guide or receiving anything in the way of press exposure and getting over a hundred reviews and a nearly perfect rating on Amazon.

I am overjoyed to announce that The Weird A-Coloring to Al, a labor of love its subject called "unquestionably the greatest coloring book of all time. It’s the perfect gift for hardcore Weird Al fans, casual Weird Al fans, and… you know, people who just like to randomly color in stuff.” is back in the form of The Weird A-Coloring to Al: Cynical Movie Cash-In Extended Edition.

Felipe has graciously created twenty new illustrations for the book, which now runs a sizable 120 sturdy pages, for hits like “Like a Surgeon” and “Eat It”, beloved fan favorites like “Albuquerque”, new songs like “The Hamilton Polka” and Al’s hot new biopic starring Daniel Radcliffe.

I’m not just the author of The Weird A-Coloring to Al and The Weird A-Coloring to Al: Cynical Movie Cash-In Extended Edition: I’m also an enthusiastic consumer as well. I have spent literally days upon days happily coloring in Felipe’s illustrations.

My coloring books are the best value in entertainment. I’ve colored in all twenty new illustrations and it’s probably taken me twenty to twenty-four hours to do so because there’s just so much stuff to color in every illustration. They’re that dense and filled with glorious detail.

I’m pretty sure this is the only coloring book in existence with an image of Fred Flintstone with a sock over his dong.

Last year I offered a deal where readers could buy three books AND get a 12 pack of pencils for free for just twenty-seven dollars, taxes and shipping included. WHAT A STEAL! Lots of y’all took me up on that offer, thankfully, so I’m doing it again this year only now it’s even more of a bargain because we’re talking THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY PAGES OF COLORING MAGIC for only 27 bucks. AND free pencils.

Look at all these books I’ve written about “Weird Al” Yankovic! There must be seven of them. AT LEAST!

The three pack is perfect for Al fans who want a copy for themselves, a copy for an Al-loving friend and a third copy for a Stocking Stuffer or Secret Santa/White Elephant gift. Also, coloring books are something you use, so once you’ve colored in one, you can move onto the next two. I can vouch that you will not get bored!

Or you can buy a single copy from me, signed, for 12 dollars, shipping and taxes included. I encourage y’all to buy directly from me because you save money that way, I get desperately needed income immediately and also I try to throw in nice things as bonuses and Amazon will definitely not be doing that.

If you want to buy all three entries in The Weird A-Coloring to Al series I am offering a signed and numbered limited edition of just 100 for fifty dollars, shipping and taxes included.

What am I doing yammering on and on when I can just be showing you Felipe’s amazing artwork? Get a gander at all this beauty!

In conclusion, please buy The Weird A-Coloring to Al: Cynical Movie Cash-In and spread word of its existence throughout the internet and beyond. Word of mouth is crucial for stuff like this and with your help I can make this another grassroots independent hit!
