Fuck You, Kanye West, I Do NOT Accept Your Half-Assed Pseudo-Apology

This fucking guy.

I know many of you are sick to fucking death of Kanye West and would prefer that he simply disappeared and no one ever talked about him ever again.

To be honest, that’s how I feel much of the time. I wish that I did not feel the need to write about Kanye West and his latest antics but the sad truth of the matter is that for a solid decade Kanye was my guy.

I was inspired by Kanye. I identified with Kanye. When people said that he was a colossal jackass who treated people like shit and thought he was God I defended him by saying that yes, that was all obviously true but Kanye was a genius and the rules were different for geniuses. For example, they are not only allowed to be colossal jackasses who treat people like shit and think that they’re God: they’re actively encouraged to behave that way.

It’s kind of a big deal when an artist whose life and career and mental health you are unhealthily invested in becomes a screamingly loud proponent of the ideas and actions of Adolf Hitler even if his beloved Führer viewed African-Americans as an inferior race.

I didn’t even know Kanye even SPOKE Hebrew.

It’s unprecedented when one of the biggest, most popular and influential artists in the world chooses to sabotage his career, destroy what was left of his reputation and lose his billionaire status rather than condemn the actions of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.

All Kanye had to do was say that he did NOT love Nazis or Adolf Hitler. He couldn’t do it. He wanted the public to know that he shares the anti-semitic views of literally the most hated man in the world so badly that he was willing to risk career suicide.

Kanye went on and on and on about his love for Nazis and Hitler and his hatred of Jews. He lost a lot of people in the process. Other than coming out as a proud pedophile, it’s hard to think of a public stance more likely to alienate the general public than by saying nice things about ADOLF HITLER.

Kanye had plenty of time to walk back all of the nice things he said about Hitler and the mean things he said about Jews. Instead he doubled down. He seemed to think it was all a funny edgelord gag the mainstream media didn’t understand until he started losing hundreds of millions of dollars.

You know you’re on the right path when Nazis aggressively cosign your words and ideas.

Now, long after the point where it would have mattered, Kanye has finally apologized to the Jewish people. "I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for my unplanned outburst caused by my words or actions, it was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future” is “Kanye’s” “apology.”

I think it’s safe to say that Kanye West did not write those words. If he had they would have been incoherent, narcissistic and full of hatred towards Jews and women. Instead it seems like whoever is in charge of trying to keep Kanye from destroying what’s left of his legacy ghost-wrote them and Kanye grudgingly okayed the sentiments on the grounds that maybe if he issues a half-hearted apology he’ll get his billions of dollars back and people will stop being angry with him for being a Nazi.

Fuck that shit. Fuck that noise.

What West did was not an “unplanned outburst.” That implies that West did one bad thing but he shouldn’t be held responsible because he did not plan to do so beforehand.

So apparently Kanye did not write out a list of positive things to say about Hitler while on The Alex Jones Show; he free-styled all of that Jew hatred on the spot. The conspiracy-mongering and Holocaust denial were coming straight off the dome, baby! Only instead of spitting sixteen hot bars over the hottest beat he was gushing effusively about how Hitler invented the microphone and stage and that’s why he loves him.

I don’t believe that Kanye meant no disrespect. Also, it doesn’t matter if he intended to be disrespectful. “Disrespectful” doesn’t begin to do just justice to Kanye’s words and actions.

If history is any indication no growth or learning will occur within Kanye. Instead he’ll just get angrier and angrier at the Jews he considers responsible for his downfall and all of his problems.

In conclusion, I most assuredly do not accept your apology, Kanye. That might change if Kanye makes concrete efforts to learn from his experiences and grow as a person and artist but we all know that is not going to happen.
