For Purely Pragmatic Reasons, September Will Be Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 Month as well

Like seemingly everyone else, I am hurting right now financially. I used to see a three thousand dollar a month Patreon haul as a bottom I could not fall beneath without imperiling the future of the website. These days, however, 3000 dollars a month in Patreon income for a website that takes up the vast majority of my time and energy and enthusiasm has become a seemingly impossible goal, as I’m down to 2600 dollars a month and the energy and momentum is most assuredly heading in the wrong direction.

When COVID-19 hit, people lost jobs and businesses closed and the economy nose-dived. I one hundred percent understand why people have better things to do with their money right now than pledge weird pop culture websites, even as my livelihood and family’s future are largely dependent on the kindness and generosity of strangers.

I basically only have one tool for increasing my income from this website, and that is Control Nathan Rabin 4.0, the column where patrons choose a movie I must watch and then write about in exchange for a one-time, 100 dollar fee through Patreon or Paypal (nathanrabin@sbcglobal.net

With that in mind, August was Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 month on this here website. I wanted to work through my rather extensive backlog of Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 pledges so that I could execute the column more efficiently in the future.

I wanted to do EVERY last Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 pledge from the past two years so that when a new Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 pledge is made I can tackle it immediately, or almost immediately, instead of getting to it when I have time.

I made some progress in August but I still have a WAYS to go in fulfilling Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 pledges so I have decided to make September Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 month as well.

I want to reward kind patrons by finally covering pledges I’ve been procrastinating on and encourage new pledges with the assurance that they’ll be written up faster than ever.

Thankfully, I don’t have to choose between writing a fuck ton of Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 pledges and having great content: in my entirely unbiased mind at least, Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 is a terrific column that has inspired me to write about a broad swath of fascinating, sometimes achingly obscure movies in addition to keeping me out of the poorhouse.

So get ready for a whole lot of Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 in the very near future because if I don’t get through everything in time, you better believe that October will be another Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 month as well.
